Your site is very well put together, easy to follow, and your theory is plausible. I have considered the same theory for a couple of years and have devoted a blog to collecting "evidence of time travel" - Dark Backward ( http://darkbackward.blogspot.com/ ). What interests me is how seemingly impossible events recorded in "myths"of the ancient past are not so impossible anymore. Are the ancient "gods" actually "accidental tourists" from the future? Does something happen in the future where the only refuge is to travel to the past? Perhaps time travel is/was/will be an accident itself. In any case, check out the current projects of notable physicists Ron Mallett and John Cramer (in separate venues) which may lead to time travel (of data, at least) some time very soon.
By the way, if UFOs are time travellers, it makes sense that they and our governments would keep it secret, so as not to provoke further corruption of the timeline (they may even be coming back to try to repair damage already done - e.g. the butterfly effect). They would then be happy to perpetuate the "space alien" hoax as a cover. Evidence suggests that our governments work very hard to keep the space alien hoax going.

I shared this idea with my family just the other day! It was mildly received, then tonight I watched a documentary on Rossyln Scotland UFO sightings and they proposed that aliens were using portals to travel back in tiime to visit earth. I thought how crazy is it that alien beings would want to travel for many light years to come here when it is far more plausable that it would be humans studying their history. It just so happens that the sightings were at a church where the Arc of the Covenant is supposedly buried. Don't we travel to Bethlehem and Egypt when we hear things that might lead us to clues about the Bible?
It is just odd that with all the UFO sightings and all the money spent on audiable equipment sent to pick up sound waves millions of miles away and not a sound. Additionaly, why is it that "aliens" always seem to have 2 eyes, 2 legs, 2 arms, hands, a mouth a nose etc. My cat is more alien than what we perceive an alien to look like. When I finally came to the realization myself, I cannot think of it as any other way. I would like to learn more about the possibilities of time travel, (however, it would need to be presented in an un physics type way).

Maybe TEs are researching within their past because Earths future is in-hospitable.
Very good point, especially with the reality of the global warming effects that their ancestors (us) caused. Their research may be conducted for the purposes of mitigating something similar that they are facing in their time.

hmm. Well who really knows. Could be like it the movie Stargate or Event Horizon (hopefully we don't end up in hell like in it) but perhaps you really don't need to go faster than the speed of light. Maybe you could bend time or go through like a wormhole. Or maybe time travel and space relate to each other in the future. I suppose if we had to leave this planet somehow we could just use the same way to get back. And it is not like we could go back in time and try and fix earth cause then the whole planet would implode or something.
i feel like the scientist from the Simpsons....NARF!
Like the Stargate & Event Horizon theory, I wouldn't be surprised if future Earth was destroyed and the TEs are here finishing their research on space travel to find a planet to migrate to. Speed of Light theory is a dying subject due to the human body not being able to stand the extremes of it. More popular is the dark matter, blackholes, worm holes quantum physics etc etc

After reading through the description of Terrestrial Extra Theory on this site and elsewhere, how do you feel about it?
Funny enough I was thinking about this UFO phenomena the other day and decided to use a few search engines to see if anyone else thought it possible that UFOs could be time travellers. Its common knowledge that we are damaging the planet and future civilisations would travel back in time for research purposes, I mean if we all had a time machine how many of us would use it? Be it dinosaurs, past battles, who killed Kennedy?, Ancient Egypt etc etc the list is endless. If the Earth is in a sorry state in the future and space is still unreachable then time travel would be the only way we could survive in the future. Maybe TEs are researching within their past because Earths future is in-hospitable. As for The POPE and Skeptic I think they are small minded people that will become extinct because they have one track minds like believing in a deity. Its like children believing in Santa Claus because thats what we teach them.

Justin's point brings up another question - if/when in the future TE's discover evidence that humans have developed an interest in researching their species, would they travel back in time to remove this research? If so, they could keep themselves a secret for as long as they wanted to. For example, if they noticed that people gained interest in them primarily through this website, they could go back in time and disallow it from being created, and therefore all of the contributors or visitors to this website would not have been prompted to think about it and explore the possibility of their existence. It could be happening right now and that's the reason that this concept is still a novel one.
I'll continue to think about TET - I like it also.
